Cooking Class
Learning how to cook can be fun, healthy, and help make you more independent. This four-week class, taught by an experienced chef from Youthage Culinary Specialist, teaches different cooking techniques, knife safety, and culinary concepts, designed to encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Each session, participants will learn how to prepare a different meal with a new cooking technique. Participants will then be able to apply their newly-acquired skills to cook new meals they will love to eat.
This program is intended to be introductory and no prior experience with cooking is needed to register. We provide all the materials and the food.
This four-week class is offered for a minimal cost of $40 to residents of Maine Township or children attending a Maine Township school who meet family income eligibility guidelines. Advance registration is required.
The next four-week session will be held on Thursdays at the Maine Township Town Hall from 4:30-6 pm starting in fall 2023. To sign up, please fill out the registration form below. Space is limited to the first 10 participants who sign up. If the class is full, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list.
