Parenting the Love and Logic Way™ Parenting Class

Love and Logic® is a fun and practical approach to raising wonderful kids that provides loving support from parents while at the same time expecting kids to be respectful and responsible.

Parents want their kids to be well prepared for life, and they know this means kids will make mistakes and must be held accountable for those mistakes. But parents often fail to hold kids accountable for poor decisions because they are afraid the kids will see them as being mean. The result is they often excuse bad behavior, finding it easier to hold others, including themselves, accountable for their children’s irresponsibility.

The Parenting the Love and Logic Way™ curriculum teaches parents how to hold their kids accountable by locking in empathy, love, and understanding prior to telling kids what the consequences of their actions will be. This method causes the child to see their parent as the “good guy” and the child’s poor decision as the “bad guy.” When done on a regular basis, kids develop an internal voice that says, “I wonder how much pain I’m going to cause for myself with my next decision?” Kids who develop this internal voice become more capable of standing up to peer pressure.

During this six-week course you’ll discover that parenting really can be enjoyable and that you can teach personal responsibility and respect without losing your child’s love. Using a blend of discussion and engaging video filled with plenty of real life stories and examples, this program is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately!

The fee for the entire six-week class is only $40 per person/$50 per couple for residents and $120 per person/$150 per couple for non-residents (space permitting) and includes a 67-page workbook.

The next session will be held in fall 2024. This class will meet in-person or virtually, depending on participant preference. There are only 10 spots available in this class.
