New Virtual Fall Programs
MaineStay is pleased to offer the following new FREE programs to our community virtually via Zoom this fall. Participants must reside or attend school within the boundaries of Maine Township to qualify for participation in either of these programs.
Parenting in a Pandemic
Learn to navigate the unique challenges facing parents now and connect with other parents in a supportive environment
Parents have faced incredible pressure this year, from juggling distance learning, to working from home, to trying to help their children cope with a global pandemic. Join us for this virtual group where you can find support and learn helpful ways to manage the unique challenges of our time. Topics covered will include processing and releasing emotions, creating a safe haven within our homes, being a calming presence for others, learning to let go, and adapting when you can’t change things around you. Time will be allotted for both educational content and conversation with fellow parents. For more information please contact Lisa at 224-257-4844 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Connect and Cope During COVID
A safe space for adolescents to discuss the challenges of the pandemic and learn coping strategies to manage stress and isolation
Welcome to an online space for adolescents to join together for all things adolescence! Adolescence is a “swirly” season of uncertainty and being an adolescent during a pandemic is “extra swirly” and filled with many unique challenges. This “Zoom Lounge” will be open once a week for adolescents to come and hang out online, talk up all things coping, and connect with each other in a non-school but still cool way. Bring your anxious feelings, depressive mood, and isolation worries to the group and together we will build new muscles like resilience, positive reframing, and activity planning. For more information please contact Eileen at 224-257-4856 or email@example.com.
