2022 Maine Township Triennial Assessment Second Opportunity to Appeal

In September of 2022, the Cook County Assessor’s office mailed Notices of Reassessment to all Maine Township Residents.  Residents will now have a second opportunity to appeal their assessment with the Board of Review from February 8, 2023 through March 3, 2023 at the Maine Township Assessor’s office.  Residents that need help filing an appeal can call the Maine Township Assessor’s Office at 224-257-4830.  All appeals will be conducted via phone instead of in person.   Please leave a message with your name, address, telephone number, PIN, email, and a short message on what you are requesting. Please do not call more than once.  We will not be able to return all calls immediately, and repeat requests will simply slow down the process.

For a quicker way to notify us, click the link below for the 2022 Assessor Appeal In-take form. Complete the form and submit it by placing it in the Maine Township grey drop-off mailbox which is located in the parking lot across from the main entrance.  We will review your data and file an appeal on your behalf if you have a justifiable case.  We will mail you a copy of the Board of Review’s complaint number and comparable properties used for your records.  If we do not have enough data to support an appeal, we will call you to discuss your options.

At this time, we do not have the 2022 Exemption Applications (Homeowner, Senior, Senior Freeze and Persons with Disabilities.) The Cook County Assessor will not release the applications until mid-April.  Due to the high volume of customers that are appealing, we are not able to file Certificate of Errors for exemptions that may have been missed.  We will be happy to assist you once we are done with the Board of Review appeals.
