Agency and Program Coordinator

Maine Township’s MaineStay Youth & Family Services has a 50-year history of serving our community and is looking to hire a full-time Agency and Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating youth and community programs and overseeing the Maine Township agency grant funding process that supports the important work of local non-profit organizations.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree; previous event planning and program development experience; excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills; and the ability to work day and evening hours. At least 3 years of experience working with youth and 3 years of event planning and program development experience preferred. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a variety of after school programs for at-risk youth
  • Coordinate Student Government Day events that educate high school students about the role of local government in their community
  • Coordinate Peer Jury restorative justice program
  • Coordinate community service placements for youth
  • Co-facilitate Kids Fest program held during school breaks in the winter, spring, and fall with Youth Program Coordinator
  • Co-facilitate Summer Camp program with Youth Program Coordinator and provide daily supervision of camp activities
  • Coordinate community education/professional development workshops
  • Coordinate agency grant funding process
  • Maintain online agency directory
  • Plan and coordinate annual Agency Day networking event
  • Maintain list of local volunteer opportunities
  • Assist with other programs as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to enjoy the company of at-risk youth and understand their needs and differences
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects, programs, and services in an efficient and effective manner

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with residents, schools, and organizations
  • Ability to interface effectively with diverse populations, including different ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Ability to network and maintain strong partnerships with other organizations
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and Canva

Salary Range

  • $44,000-$46,000/year

Maine Township’s MaineStay Youth & Family Services is an award-winning department that has been serving youth and the mental health needs of our community for the past 50 years. Our mission is to support the growth of healthier families in the Maine Township community by providing affordable strength-based counseling and comprehensive programs focused on prevention and education. We work diligently to ensure that all Maine Township residents have access to treatment and youth programs because lack of financial resources should not be a barrier to accessing such services. All our programs are either free or low-cost. Many of our programs are available only to those who live or attend school in Maine Township.
